Livewire’s recording studio is incredibly high-spec and much of it, including an Audient ASP8024 – 36 channel desk, one of only three in the UK, has been donated by legendary guitarist, Pete Townshend (The Who).
For young people, Pete’s wish is that we record as many young musicians as possible and teach just as many how to use the studio – with this in mind, Livewire currently has funding from Cornwall Music Education Hub to pay for free recording sessions for young musicians under the age of 21. These free recording sessions take place 10am to 3pm on Saturdays and must be booked in advance.
For young people wanting to learn studio production skills, this takes place on Thursday evenings, 7pm to 9.30pm.
Recording facilities for over 21s
Whilst we don’t run the studio as a commercial venture, we are able to offer studio facilities to over 21s. Please contact us for more information.
