She is now a confident, healthy and empowered young woman… – Livewire

She is now a confident, healthy and empowered young woman…

This young woman came to Livewire’s E2E (Entry to Employment) programme through the ‘Lift Project’.  She had an eating disorder and dreadfully low self-esteem, which compounded some mental health problems.

We worked with her for the full twenty-two-week E2E programme and during this time she also engaged with other aspects of Livewire, attending our youth club regularly in the evening and accessing one-to-one youth support.

Her confidence and self-esteem gradually improved over the months of attending Livewire. She started volunteering at our junior club and became involved in other aspects of the life of Livewire.

She now runs her own business and is a confident, healthy and empowered young woman.
