Who we work with

We’ve very pleased to have a wide range of organisations provide support for our charity. They have all shown great belief that creating positive outcomes and opportunities for young people, nurturing talent and creating great stories is important and worth supporting.

Young volunteers

Livewire is keen to support young people volunteering within the community, which leads to various awards and accreditations, this can help with employability skills, or help with getting into college or university.

We always need Wednesday evening volunteers to help run our junior club. This can be helping as peer workers, or as peer musicians, and again this is rewarding, but can be hectic.

Who supports us

Corporate & Rock Royalty

We support young people, using contemporary music to change and enhance their lives, unlocking creativity and in some cases, helping them overcome challenges – from being addicted to drugs, suffering from low self-esteem, self-harming, other mental health issues, anxiety, depression, depression symptoms, anorexia, bulimia and other common health problems in adolescence.

A major factor in our success at producing positive outcomes is that we’ve been fortunate to attract many organisations and big names to help with our funding, or in providing us with world-class equipment.  This all contributes to giving our young people the best possible experience with instruments such as, bass guitar, electric guitar, keyboards and drums, plus all the live sound and stage lighting for live music and of course, our hi-spec recording studio.

We’ve been incredibly blessed by major brands and people like Pete Townshend, who gave us one of his three (the only three in the UK) Audient ASP8024 mixing desks for our recording studio. The late Lemmy and Malcolm Young were familiar figures at our venue and we continue to be supported by Brian Johnson, AC/DC, The Who and The Rolling stones, as well as hosting rehearsals and gigs for many others such as, Company B, a Jazz swing band, Phil Campbell (Motorhead Guitarist), The Damned, The Hoosiers, Funeral for a Friend, Futures, and Martin Barre (Jethro Tull).

There are many reasons why we are supported by these music brands and icons, but it comes down to creating positive outcomes and opportunity for young people, nurturing talent and creating great stories that we can all be proud of and talk about, as you can see under the ‘Our Stories’ tab in this website.

We are also supported in great measure by local and national, non-music related companies and individuals, who work with us to bring their ideas to life.  In all cases, we are always keen to seek out new ways of working with others to enhance our Youth Work and our offering to young people.  We welcome anyone to see our facilities in Saltash, Cornwall, and are always happy to talk about what we do.

If you’d like to help us make a difference through music, please get in touch and we can talk. You’ll be in good company, alongside some of the major performer names we mentioned and top brands in the music industry – Marshall amps, Focusrite, Genelec, Fender and Gibson, to name but a few.
