Nestled in the heart of Saltash, right by the river, Livewire stands in a truly beautiful setting, one that has quietly (or not so quietly sometimes) supported thousands of children and young people over the years. Behind its doors, generations have been welcomed with care, understanding, and a sense of belonging. For many, Livewire has been a safe space. For others, it’s something they’ve heard about but never fully understood.
That’s why on SaturdayApril 25th, from 12pm to 2pm, Livewire is opening its doors to the community for a special Mental Health and Awareness Day.
This event is for everyone, whether you’re curious about what Livewire does, a parent with concerns about your child, or someone simply looking to learn more about mental health support in the local area. It’s an opportunity to step inside, meet the team, and see first-hand how Livewire connects with and supports the community.
We understand that many parents and carers can feel unsure about where to turn when they’re worried. Sometimes, it can feel like there’s no one to talk to. This day is about changing that, creating a welcoming space where conversations can happen openly and without judgement.
Alongside the Livewire team, there will be representatives from Samaritans and other mental health professionals available to talk, offer guidance, and share information about the wider support networks available. Visitors will be able to explore how Livewire works in partnership with local resources and how it continues to make a positive impact.
Whether you stay for a quick chat or spend time exploring everything on offer, you’ll be met with a warm welcome.
Come along, have a look around, and discover what Livewire is all about
