Who are we?
Livewire Youth Project is a vibrant and safe place for 10 to 21 year olds to develop, learn and have fun, supported by a professional team of youth workers, musicians and dedicated volunteers.
We have a long history on the Saltash waterside since 1946, offering a wide range of activities, more recently specialising in music and performing arts supported by our live performance venue, rehearsal rooms and recording studio.
We have a membership of around 1500 from all over South-East Cornwall, South Devon and beyond.

What do we provide?
Music lessons – guitar, bass, vocals, keyboard, drums, digital music, DJ – plus sound, recording, lighting, and stage management through our 250 capacity live performance venue.
Advice and support for all issues of growing up, relationships, sexual health, self harm, eating disorders, mental health, abuse victims, drug and alcohol, and low self esteem.
Opportunities for young people with disabilities and special needs.
Support for unemployed young people and those needing extra help with education.
Opportunities for peer-education and volunteering.
Job Club, community engagement, arts awards, one-to-one and group support work.
Livewire is possibly the busiest, most vibrant youth project in the South West of England.
Livewire wins awards for its innovative use of music to address the needs of young people.
Not only locally acclaimed for its work in Cornwall and Devon, Livewire is recognised nationally and internationally as an outstanding and successful project.
Livewire has received the support of some of the biggest names in the music world including: The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Who, AC/DC and many more familiar names.
